IGCSE Economics (0455)
I provide interactive and personalised Economics lessons designed to help students understand concepts clearly and apply them confidently in Cambridge examinations. Students will develop essential examination techniques, including identifying command words in structured questions, understanding mark schemes, avoiding common mistakes, and learning from examiner feedback and comments. Lessons are personalised according to each student’s strengths, weaknesses, learning progress and examination goals. My teaching approach is highly interactive. Students practise through multiple-choice quizzes for conceptual understanding, structured question quizzes for application, rank-order quizzes for cause-and-effect analysis, comic-based quizzes for visual memorisation, and labelled diagram quizzes for graph interpretation and economic explanations. I guide students through each question step by step, but I first allow them to attempt the question independently. After their attempt, I explain the correct answer and discuss why the other options are incorrect. This helps students develop stronger economic reasoning, examination technique and confidence, rather than simply memorising answers. Students also receive lesson recordings and learning materials after class, together with homework and assignment guidance. I provide regular progress reports and teacher feedback so parents can clearly understand their child’s development. I also have experience supporting an underperforming student in improving from an ungraded level to Grade C in school examinations.
